Two Stunning Views: Race Point Light and a Sleepy Lady Eider – Day 83

My focus of this past week’s trip to PTown was, indeed, the BIRDS!

But I also got to see some truly beautiful spots, with great views.

Like the view of Race Point Lighthouse from Herring Cove Beach, something I had never seen before awaaay across the water.

The air smelled SO good out there on the water, and the sea looked so blue-blue.

Last night I posted a photo of a stunning Eider drake at MacMillan Wharf.

And here, tonight, is one of the Lady Eiders I met there, too.

She was especially kind to give me a really close look at her gorgeous feathers, so many different layers of black, white and rich reddish-brown.

I thought she looked a bit on the sleepy side, almost as if the sea was gently rocking her to sleep.

It made me wish I could join her…  😉

Can you see now, why I believe that the Ladies are every bit as gorgeous as the Gents??  ❤
