Lace for the Queen

I’ve always loved Queen Anne’s Lace.

Named for either Anne, the wife of King James I (1574 – 1619) or Anne (1665 – 1714), the daughter of William and Mary (last of the Stuart line), legend has it that following a challenge to create a lace that would be as stunning as a flower…

Queen Anne’s Lace came to be.

So when I saw these Lovelies, backlit by the early morning sun along Red River marsh…

I simply had to share them!

Lovely as a flower, yes indeed.  ❤
