There is just nothing like a sunset, at my home beach.
Red River Beach…
As the last of the Nor’easter fades away into the night,
I am dreaming of a recent sunset down at Red River Beach.
How the last rays of the setting sun glowed on the faces of everyone who’d come to watch.
How the lifeguard stand rose like a pillar against a sky painted in lavender, pink and peach.
And how long after the sun had made its exit down behind the trees, its hot lava afterglow lingered.
I love my home beach, Red River.
And nothing gives me more pleasure this time of year than seeing it all frost-covered!
Yesterday at sunset there was snow down by the jetties…
Up into the dunes…
And along the backside creek where the tall common reeds watch over the quiet marsh of gold.
But I am almost never alone in my celebration of the first snow of the season.
Happy Almost Winter everybody! 😉
No matter what’s going on, no matter what cares there may be…
There’s nothing like smelling the sea air at Red River beach.
See things from a different perspective…
The smell of the air and the water, seeing everyone going about their day…
Helps me to know that all is well, all is well.
All is truly well.
