I love the flowers that I see this time of year in the gardens that I pass on my walks.
The delicate anemones, their soft pink petals with deep yellow centers, wave gently in the sea breezes.
And as we drift toward September, I see the lacecap hydrangeas are now turning their softer shades of blue, purple and pink…
Their relatives, the mopheads, are taking on that old-fashioned “antique” dried-flower-look that I love this time of year.
But I do think they ALL perk up even a bit brighter as the days grow shorter and the nights get cooler.
